FAMILY WELCOMING CHURCHES
Below are some distinctives of a family welcoming church:

Families worship together

As we seek to serve all families right where they are, Catalyst also provides Catalyst Nursery for ages 0-3 throughout the entire service and another room for ages 4-7 during the actual teaching. We encourage you to keep your children with you during worship and then release them to their classroom until you, as the parent, are ready.
No Systematic Age Segregation

One of the biggest distinctions of a Family Welcoming Church is the absence of age-graded ministries. Catalyst does provide Catalyst Kids for children ages seven (7) and under, however we encourage all families to allow their children to be included in worship. We do not have segregated youth ministry.

Evangelism / Discipleship Through Homes

We teach parents to evangelize and disciple their children and their neighbors. We emphasize the ministry of hospitality, family worship, catechism, and family discipleship.

Education as a Key Component of Discipleship

Jesus said, “A pupil is not above his teacher, but everyone, after he has been fully trained, will be like his teacher” (Luke 6:40). Whoever educates a child is discipling that child. We work hard to help parents see the importance of Christian education, and to help them make biblical choices as it relates to this part of their children’s discipleship.
