Proverbs 10:14 NKJV

[14] Wise people store up knowledge, but the mouth of the foolish is near destruction.

I have always struggled with memorizing scripture. I tried many times to be intentional about learning passages. Reading the same lines over and over. Some would stick for a while, but I just couldn't seem to hold onto them.

When I started spending time in my Bible daily, I figured out I was doing it wrong. I was reading to memorize words and not studying God's Word to grow. My approach had been purely cerebral and completely absent of the spiritual aspect. I didn't actually store up anything until I began applying scripture to my life.
