Proverbs 28:5 NKJV

[5] Evil men do not understand justice, but those who seek the Lord understand all.

I am not a very wise man. Most of the information I have managed to gather over the years have come from trial and error... mostly error. I have made a multitude of mistakes. I have wrestled against truth and fought off understanding. I kept God an an arm's length to preserve my will and my way.

In the words of Don Henley's song The Heart of the Matter, "the more I know, the less I understand."

Without the peace of God, I am hopelessly lost. I don't understand why things happen. I can't comprehend the purpose of loss and death. I take comfort in knowing that I serve a God of divine purpose who IS the Father of understanding. We may not know it now, but we will understand it better "In the Sweet By and By".
