Colossians 1:11-12 NKJV

[11] strengthened with all might, according to His glorious power, for all patience and longsuffering with joy; [12] giving thanks to the Father who has qualified us to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in the light.

Gratitude isn't easy to come by when we are staring down a long list of negatives. We forget that Christ suffered to save us, God loved us enough to redeem us, and the Holy Spirit loves us enough to lead us. We have more than enough to endure longsuffering. We can still have joy.

My strength doesn't come from what I can do. I may not be happy all the time, but my joy doesn't come from my circumstances. What I have to look forward to is so much greater than the temporary issues I face today. God's provision is in place for all that is to come. I just have to trust that He is always faithful and forever trustworthy.
