[15] He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation. [16] For by Him, all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him. [17] And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist.
Our modern world is filled with man-made distractions. We are surrounded by constant noise. Most of us have become so accustomed to it that we require constant input from outside sources. All of those things, to some degree, are designed (for convenience) to draw our attention from what is most important. Jesus.
If I don't intentionally stop and shift my focus, I will quietly forget His Greatness. I won't see His hand at work around me. I don't want to miss out on seeing Jesus in everything and finding ways (and reasons) to worship Him.
