[21] And you, who once were alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now He has reconciled [22] in the body of His flesh through death, to present you holy, and blameless, and above reproach in His sight— [23] if indeed you continue in the faith, grounded and steadfast, and are not moved away from the hope of the gospel which you heard, which was preached to every creature under heaven, of which I, Paul, became a minister.
I used to feel like God was a million miles away. I didn't pray. I didn't worship. I never read my Bible, but I expected the Lord to be a powerful presence in my life without nurturing any kind of relationship with Him.
God's love is unconditional. I believe that wholeheartedly. I also believe we choose to be a friend or enemy of Him. God wasn't absent from me. I made myself unavailable to Him. What I have found to be true over the past several years is, that the more I have gotten to know Him, the more I recognize His presence in my life.
Romans 8:38 - For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, 39. nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
