[18] Let no one cheat you of your reward, taking delight in false humility and worship of angels, intruding into those things which he has not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind, [19] and not holding fast to the Head, from whom all the body, nourished and knit together by joints and ligaments, grows with the increase that is from God.
One of the things I love about my church (and my people)... what you see is what you get. I have the privilege of worshipping alongside real people. We are all broken in some fashion. We don't make it a point to hide behind a fake facade or put on a show.
God never looked to use only the people who were all put together. There are countless stories of thieves, adulterers, and murderers who He restored and repurposed for His glory. Salvation and purpose aren't status symbols relegated to the "good" people. The ones who've been humbled by sin and suffering know how to seek, love, and worship the Lord.
