Philippians 2:17-18 NKJV

[17] Yes, and if I am being poured out as a drink offering on the sacrifice and service of your faith, I am glad and rejoice with you all. [18] For the same reason, you also be glad and rejoice with me.

I love the consistency of my church family. I have quite a few of them who've been in my life for a long time. I love them, I trust them, and I rely on their wisdom. Our lives are intertwined spiritually and relationally. These are my long-haul people.

Some relationships are temporary callings. We pour into the lives of those people for a time, and then the door closes. I sometimes look at these relationships with sadness because letting go is hard. In reality, we labor for a short time planting seeds. The harvest was never ours to start with.
