[10] But I rejoiced in the Lord greatly that now at last your care for me has flourished again; though you surely did care, you lacked opportunity.
I have a large faith family that I love and trust. We are on the same team working towards the same end goal. I know I can count on them and they can count on me, but we all lead separate, busy lives. We share love, but can't always spare time.
These are the areas where the spirit of offense most commonly dwells. "If you don't reach out to me, you must not love me." With that mindset, we can catch ourselves in the trap of believing that, if God doesn't respond, He must not care. Nothing could be further from the truth.
God has given us Jesus, the Holy Spirit, and His people for His purpose. As mature Christians, we sometimes face things without reliance on anything but our faith. I believe God uses these "quiet" times to grow our trust in His process without the constant presence of outside affirmation.
Psalms 46:10 - Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!
