Philippians 4:5 NKJV

[5] Let your gentleness be known to all men. The Lord is at hand.

Of all the things I am, gentle is not one of them. At least it doesn't come naturally to me. I was raised to be a man's man. I am naturally a little brash, boisterous, and rough around the edges. I don't beat around the bushes with what needs to be said... I'm not always sensitive to other people's feelings.

I have to admit that it is sometimes discouraging when I measure myself against scripture. There are so many areas that still require attention... gentleness being one. I don't want to be remembered for all that I got wrong, so I have to continue pursuing Christ daily with a heart willing to bend to God's will.
