Looking back, I understand why my parents disciplined me the way they did. They wanted me to succeed. They wanted me to see the value in making wise decisions. They knew that life was difficult enough without the added trouble of being a fool. I was a late bloomer in the wisdom department, but my Father knew what I needed to get me there.
