[22] The blessing of the Lord makes one rich, and He adds no sorrow with it.
Some of my fondest childhood memories are going to visit my grandmother and my great-grandparents. There was joy and wisdom there. They were glad to see me. They celebrated my presence and they always had something good waiting for me. Occasionally, there was some discipline, but it was well-deserved when I got it.
Oftentimes, we fail to see the Lord in this same light even though there are so many similarities. He loves us and desires our company. He corrects us when necessary for our own good. He wants the best for us and He always gives wonderful gifts. It is up to us to recognize the good and appreciate Him for it.
