[25] When the hay is removed, and the tender grass shows itself, and the herbs of the mountains are gathered in, [26] the lambs will provide your clothing, and the goats the price of a field; [27] You shall have enough goats’ milk for your food, for the food of your household, and the nourishment of your maidservants.
At birth, we start out with a fairly clean slate. We don't have to be taught how to sin. We learn it gradually over time; picking up bad habits, sinful tendencies, and painful memories. Sin makes us course and callous to the tenderness of God's love. We become numb to the nudge of the Holy Spirit.
There is something incredibly sweet about the newness of salvation that tears those calluses away. We feel things the way God intended. We love the way God desires and we start operating within God's design. In my experience, when I started focusing more on pursuing the Lord, the more I experienced the abundance of His provision.
I have to be diligent to keep those calluses pulled away. It is part of the sanctification process that keeps us in tune with the Holy Spirit and in line with the footsteps of Jesus. The more I rely on the Lord, the more He continues to show is abundant love, mercy, and unexplainable favor to me.
