[29] The way of the Lord is strength for the upright, but destruction will come to the workers of iniquity.
I try to do things God's way. I still have the occasional attitude flare-up. My flesh wants to push back from obedience. I was born into this flesh and it has selfish tendencies. I also have a fairly colorful history to reference when I think about what happens when I do what my flesh wants to do. It isn't pretty.
Despite my current struggles with self-centeredness, I continue to experience new spiritual growth; not because I am better, but because God is faithful. The Holy Spirit meets me each day, wherever I am, and accompanies me through my struggles. I don't have to rely on my own ability because I lean on the power of the Lord to lead me in my sanctification.
