[12] He who is devoid of wisdom despises his neighbor, but a man of understanding holds his peace.
It isn't hard to find ways to create division in this day and age. Race, gender, religion, and politics are all big-ticket items. If I don't agree with you, you MUST be wrong. I can't have a civil conversation with someone I don't agree with, can I? Surely, I can't look for common ground and connection.
The world says we can't, but Jesus showed us otherwise. The woman at the well was supposed to be off limits. The leper was untouchable... and incurable. When we see others through the eyes of Christ, we won't point out the differences and avoid all contact. We should find ways to introduce them to Christ inside of us. We can be relatable and still be set apart.
