[27] He who earnestly seeks good finds favor, but trouble will come to him who seeks evil.
I like to think that I seek good. I serve. I read the Bible. I pray regularly. I talk about Jesus to people almost every day. I see my business as an opportunity to worship God through work and a way to serve others while providing for my family... I seek good.
A conversation with my brother today reminded me that these things are highlights. I don't always seek good in my conversations. I often venture from the path of righteousness for the sake of a joke. Even when the intentions aren't for evil, there isn't a middle-of-the-road location where perfectly neutral exists. Seeking good requires a level of diligence that I have not yet achieved. I needed his loving reminder to stay in the right lane.
