Proverbs 24:15-16 NKJV

[15] Do not lie in wait, O wicked man, against the dwelling of the righteous; Do not plunder his resting place; [16] For a righteous man may fall seven times And rise again, But the wicked shall fall by calamity.

There is a common misconception amongst some (especially new) believers that following Jesus will make everything easier. Nothing could be further from the truth. The enemy doesn't avoid Christians. He seeks and singles us out. To the enemy, we are the enemy.

The attacks will come. Problems will come up. Eventually, we will all experience some form of knockdown. What separates us from the rest of the world is the strength of the Holy Spirit at work inside us. We should rejoice when we experience the attacks because it means we are doing something right.

Psalms 28:7 - The Lord is my strength and my shield; My heart trusted in Him, and I am helped; Therefore my heart greatly rejoices, and with my song I will praise Him.
