[27] Prepare your outside work, make it fit for yourself in the
field; And afterward build your house.
If you had told me ten years ago that I would be doing what I am doing for a living, I would have laughed at you. At that point, I was so caught up in trying to keep the bills paid that I had no time to see myself building any kind of legacy. I was a mechanic in a paper mill. I didn't ever think I would be back in business working for myself. It's funny how God can intentionally change our direction when our plans are so haphazard.
The more I grow in my relationship and understanding of the Lord, the more I see how His hand orchestrates our future. I know He created me to work. I know He is creating my legacy. I have to be obedient to the refining process and allow Him room to move ME. I know (sort of) where I want to be in the next ten years, but I have no idea where His plans will take me.
Jeremiah 29:11 - For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.
