[12] Do you see a man wise in his own eyes? There is more hope for a fool than for him.
I think it is safe to say we all find a little pride in knowing what to say and having the answers. I get asked questions all the time... It just so happens these questions pertain to my job. For the most part, I know what I'm talking about. Chances are I have seen it and dealt with it before. I love showing up and knowing just what to do. If I don't, I have to figure it out and learn.
Life can be just like that sometimes. Learning is part of living. The things we know are known. Certain tasks have been done so many times we no longer think about them. If I don't know or have the answers, I can't rightly fake my way through them. If I do, that creates messes I am not equipped to clean up.
Jesus didn't expect us to have the answers or to always know what to do. That is why He sent the Holy Spirit to help us. We just have to be willing to ask for help. The answers are provided in Scripture and the Helper is a prayer away.
