[3] A whip for the horse, a bridle for the donkey, and a rod for the fool’s back. [4] Do not answer a fool according to his folly, lest you also be like him. [5] Answer a fool according to his folly, lest he be wise in his own eyes.
In recent weeks, I have found myself involved in conversations about Jesus. As much as I enjoy talking about my faith, I struggle with my patience towards people who are openly disagreeable with my beliefs. I can respect someone holding their ground on what they believe. I don't appreciate having another person trying to minimize Christ's impact on my life.
Faith is real and authentic. My spiritual journey is my own. I KNOW what I believe because of my experience and my relationship with the Lord. I spend enough time with God to trust that the Holy Spirit will convict me of the areas that need work. I don't take spiritual advice from argumentative legalistic "Christians." I seek wise counsel from the mentors (faithful followers of Jesus) whom I love and trust.
Never argue with fools. They'll drag you down to their level and beat you with experience. - Mark Twain
