[19] The Lord by wisdom founded the earth; By understanding He established the heavens; [20] By His knowledge the depths were broken up, And clouds drop down the dew. [21] My son, let them not depart from your eyes— Keep sound wisdom and discretion; [22] So they will be life to your soul And grace to your neck. [23] Then you will walk safely in your way, and your foot will not stumble. [24] When you lie down, you will not be afraid; Yes, you will lie down and your sleep will be sweet.
The first time I saw the Rocky Mountains from an airplane, I was overwhelmed by the sheer vastness and size of it all. It's hard to wrap your head around just how big they are. I felt so small and insignificant in comparison to them. My first thought (seeing them from the ground) was how violently the Earth must have heaved to push the rock formations into place... how fearful an event it must have been.
If the God of the Universe could conceive such an amazing creation and still have me in mind is nearly unbelievable. He understands everything. He created and possesses all things. He freely gives of His infinite knowledge and wisdom to His kids when they seek Him. How foolish must we be to think that we could know better than Him about anything?
