[3] Let not mercy and truth forsake you; Bind them around your neck, Write them on the tablet of your heart, [4] And so find favor and high esteem In the sight of God and man.
I chuckle every time I hear someone refer to me as a great guy. Most people I work for don't know the old me. In their defense, that guy is dead and gone. The person they meet now is a product of the endearing love of Jesus and the fruit of the Holy Spirit.
Sunday religion doesn't change the heart. Lasting change occurs through a daily pursuit of Christ, time in God's Word, and mindful, meaningful prayer. I am not who I once was through no work of my own. I am saved, sanctified, and set apart by the work Jesus did on the cross.
