[31] Do not envy the oppressor, and choose none of his ways; [32] For the perverse person is an abomination to the Lord, but His secret counsel is with the upright. [33] The curse of the Lord is on the house of the wicked, but He blesses the home of the just.
If we were given two options, one of blessings and one a curse, I don't know of anyone who would choose the curse. If they did, it would make you question their sanity and intelligence level. Are the blessings of God really that simple?
I love theology as much as anyone. I often wonder if we look so deeply into the mind of God that we miss the heart of God. He wants what is best for us. He loves us beyond what we can understand, but our choices (free will) ultimately determine whether or not we experience God's goodness and grace... or His certain wrath.
