People can be exhausting. For those who give freely of themselves, the "takers" will drain you dry. Humans are selfish, self-centered creatures. If you're willing to give, some will gladly take without regard to your welfare or well-being.
God doesn't want us to be hoarders. He provides us with so that we can bless others from our abundance. Where things get dangerous is when we give more than we have... whether it is time, talent, or treasure. Being a blessing isn't supposed to be a burden. It is supposed to be a source of joy and a way to honor the Lord with what He had provided.
