Proverbs 8:13 NKJV

[13] The fear of the Lord is to hate evil; Pride and arrogance and the evil way and the perverse mouth I hate.

I don't kid myself into believing that I can be good enough to get to Heaven. I know that I am living beneath the umbrella of grace, but that doesn't give me a free pass to behave any way I want. I have to live in a way that honors God. I should be chasing Jesus more than I chase my wants, preferences, and desires.

If we were expecting company, we would probably make sure the house is clean and presentable. In the same way, we should be mindful of our heart posture, attitude, and outward behavior. I want to create a space within myself that is inviting to the presence of the Holy Spirit.
