[13] A foolish woman is clamorous; She is simple and knows nothing. [14] For she sits at the door of her house, On a seat by the highest places of the city, [15] To call to those who pass by, Who go straight on their way: [16] “Whoever is simple, let him turn in here”; And as for him who lacks understanding, she says to him, [17] “Stolen water is sweet, And bread eaten in secret is pleasant.” [18] But he does not know that the dead are there, that her guests are in the depths of hell.
Of all I have to be thankful for, my wise, godly wife is at the top of that list. Much of what she does goes unnoticed. Her tireless efforts to make our house a home are evident in the environment she has created within it. I don't often take enough time to appreciate what she means to me.
The woman God gave me acts as my sounding board. She is the embodiment of grace. She acts as the voice of the Holy Spirit through the noise of the world around me. She is proof (to me) that God doesn't give us what we deserve. He gives amazing gifts... above and beyond what I could imagine or ask for.
Proverbs 18:22 - He who finds a wife finds a good thing, and obtains favor from the Lord.
