[16] For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek. [17] For in it, the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, “The just shall live by faith.”
I used to be embarrassed to admit that I was a Jesus follower. Not because of who He is, but because of how I behaved. I acted, talked, and thought EXACTLY like the world. My only association with God occurred on Sunday morning at church. As soon as I left church, here the old me came.
I am most certainly not a picture-perfect Christian. I have faults and flaws that remind me of my sinfulness on a daily basis. I am not ashamed to share them. They're an ever-present reminder of just how much I rely on Christ. I am grateful for how far God has brought me. I am not ashamed of all I have overcome. I am proud to be called a child of the King.
