[7] What, then? Israel has not obtained what it seeks; but the elect have obtained it, and the rest were blinded. [8] Just as it is written: “God has given them a spirit of stupor, Eyes that they should not see And ears that they should not hear, To this very day.” [9] And David says: “Let their table become a snare and a trap, A stumbling block and a recompense to them. [10] Let their eyes be darkened so that they do not see and bow down their back always.”
I have been blessed to have access to many "things." A comfortable home, dependable transportation, and a lucrative career have affordable my family many modern comforts. If you remove any of those items, our perspective would quickly change.
I don't want to get some caught up in the blessings that I lose sight of the Blessor. I appreciate all I have, but I could live without any of it. What I can't live without is the very thing I overlook the fastest... the grace of God, the love of Jesus, and the presence of the Holy Spirit.
