[3] For what if some did not believe? Will their unbelief make the faithfulness of God without effect? [4] Certainly not! Indeed, let God be true, but every man is a liar. As it is written: “That You may be justified in Your words, And may overcome when You are judged.”
My faith is my own. I trust in Jesus. I believe every word of the Bible is true. I do not need outside confirmation to convince me that what I believe is right. I know in my heart, beyond the shadow of a doubt, that God is who He says He is.
If everyone around you refused to believe what you believe, would you still trust God? If you were surrounded by naysayers, would you still lead a life affirmed in Christ?
Lineage is important. The people we surround ourselves with make a difference, but faith is personal. My walk with Christ is mine. My salvation isn't provided by the prayers of my parents or my childhood upbringing. I am saved, sanctified, and set apart because of Jesus. I trust Him over the doubts of anyone around me, including my own.
