[28] And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. [29] For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren. [30] Moreover whom He predestined, these He also called; whom He called, these He also justified; and whom He justified, these He also glorified.
I don't always understand why things work out the way they do. I preplan outcomes in my head. I hope for the way I want it to work. Often, those "plans" become premeditated disappointments.
I would love to say that following Jesus has been a walk in the park. It hasn't. If it was, I'm not sure I would know how to appreciate my blessings. I believe God has a purpose with every trial, disappointment, and frustration. I have seen Him use mine as a way of teaching me to wait and, in turn, developing my faith with patience.
Even in the moments of discouragement, I can still rest in the hope I have in Him. I don't know if everything will work out according to MY plans, but I trust that ALL things work TOGETHER for His good and His glory.
