When Dani and I were still living in Bristol, she tended to shuffle and rearrange furniture on a whim. She would get an idea, and off she would go. One day, she decided to change our bedroom around without telling me. I got home late, and being unaware, proceeded to take my usual route to "my side" of the bed.
The cedar chest that sat at the foot of our bed had been strategically placed to center its corner between my toes. I screamed, yelled, and died three times before I realized all my toes were still attached. Needless to say, that was the last time stuff got moved around with me knowing.
There is some truth to the enemy working overtime in the dark. We don't operate with the same clarity as we do in the light. Our judgment isn't as clear and our way can quickly become compromised. There is a different confidence that comes from walking in the light of spiritual truth.
