[23] These things also belong to the wise: It is not good to show partiality in judgment. [24] He who says to the wicked, “You are righteous,” Him the people will curse; Nations will abhor him. [25] But those who rebuke the wicked will have delight, and a good blessing will come upon them.
"Only God can judge me."
This seems to be the mantra for people who believe in the existence of God but have no personal relationship with Him. I may have used this statement a few times myself. I would even convince myself that it was mostly true. I didn't want to hear the correction. I surely couldn't receive it, much less apply it.
As an active member within a body of believers, I have come to recognize how important rebuke is to our spiritual walk. I need the correction for my spiritual health. For those who aren't walking with the Lord, I have to live by example. If they can see Jesus in me, they might be willing to receive loving correction from me.
