[7] When a wicked man dies, his expectation will perish, and the hope of the unjust perishes. [8] The righteous is delivered from trouble, and it comes to the wicked instead. [9] The hypocrite with his mouth destroys his neighbor, but through knowledge the righteous will be delivered. [10] When it goes well with the righteous, the city rejoices; And when the wicked perish, there is jubilation.
Time seems to be passing faster than it did in my early years. The things I seldom considered then are now front and center. I once gave very little thought to death and what I would leave behind. Now, my legacy (more so than how I am remembered) is what matters the most.
The old me left a mess everywhere he went. That guy wasn't a bearer of spiritual gifts or a godly attitude. The man I am today wants to leave a legacy that leads others to Jesus. I want to be remembered not for what I once did or who I used to be, but for the glorious God I serve.
