Romans 10:16-21 NKJV

[16] But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Isaiah says, “Lord, who has believed our report?” [17] So then faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God. [18] But I say, have they not heard? Yes indeed: “Their sound has gone out to all the earth, And their words to the ends of the world.” [19] But I say, did Israel not know? First Moses says: “I will provoke you to jealousy by those who are not a nation, I will move you to anger by a foolish nation.” [20] But Isaiah is very bold and says: “I was found by those who did not seek Me; I was made manifest to those who did not ask for Me.” [21] But to Israel he says: “All day long I have stretched out My hands To a disobedient and contrary people.”

One of the limits we tend to put on God is when, where, and how He can be found. It may sound unpopular, but you don't have to listen to a pastor to hear from God. You don't have to be in a church service to be saved. There is no requirement for an ordained minister to lead you to the Lord. You don't have to know how to pray.

God doesn't experience the same limitations we do. He isn't bound by space and time the way we are. We can't be in two places at once, but God is in all things and all places all the time. He isn't waiting for us to join a church so He can make contact with us. He is one call away from us at any moment.

Romans 8:38 - For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, 39. nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Jesus was there with me when I felt I had nothing to live for and nobody to call out to. I wasn't at church or surrounded by godly people. I was alone in a detox facility. He met me where I was, heard my cry for help, and led me to a saving knowledge of Him like I could never have experienced anywhere else.
